Do you have a passion for helping others? Do you have a desire to leave your neighborhood, your town, your state or the world a little bit better than it is today? A Difference Maker is a person, regardless of age, who wants to make positive change for others. A great way to do this is by starting a Difference Maker Club at your school. In the club there will be discussion about different challenges here in US, as well as, around the world. Using the PBL (Problem Based Learning) method the club will determine a possible solution to the problems through the development of a new product. Where possible, we will then work with local manufacturing companies and other local resources to develop a prototype that can be implemented and sent to regions in need.
Consider Ann Makosinski, a 15-year-old high school junior from Victoria, British Columbia, who created a flashlight powered by the holder’s body heat. This technology can help people around the world who do not have access to power or other energy sources. If you want to be a difference maker who can use ideas to change the lives of others, then sign up today! Send us an email at info@iamthedifferencemaker.org about your club and we can help.
